We’re going to the beach!!! Ah! But what to bring? Never fear, because Gaby here is to spill all the tea on all the packing essentials you’ll need for the beach. Provided will be the necessary products you’ll need to prevent Covid during a fun sunny day as well. As long as you social distance and prepare, you’ll be more than okay. Also, don’t forget to check the weather before you make plans.
Things to wear
Now, I love both one and two piece bathing suits. I’ve created these pages just for you because I trust in these fabrics and pieces I’ve worn before. All my bathing suits and cover ups have been purchased through Amazon or Target. Shorts and shirts, I love to wear on family beach days when we’re all just walking along the boardwalk, which we tend to do frequently because I live near the water.
As for the flip-flops I recommended for you, I’ll be honest, I own these not only because they are extremely comfortable, but because I am actually short, and these shoes make me feel taller!
- One-piece bathing suits for women
- Two-piece bathing suits for women
- Beach cover-ups
- Beach shorts for women
- Beach shirts for women
- Comfy beach flip-flops
The next thing on this list are sunglasses. Here’s the thing, if you’re like me and you lose small things easily, then I would get cheap ones. Here is one of my absolute favorite polarized sunglasses that I keep buying time and time again haha!
Things to bring
Basic skin care is very important for many reasons, one of the essentials you must apply on your face before leaving your house, especially on a beach day, is SPF.
First things first, if it’s just a day trip then all you’ll need is one big beach bag that holds towels, speakers (for music of course), water, or even a book to entertain yourself. What you take with you all depends on the kind of beach trip you’re taking. If you’re going on a full on beach vacation, then I suggest you check out the full detailed ultimate beach packing checklist!
The following products that are linked below are things I’ve personally purchased through Amazon, and fully recommend!
- Chairs/ umbrella for comfort
- Sunscreen SPF 50
- Towels
- Speakers for music
- Water
- Cooler/drinks/food

These are the basic common packing essentials you should bring on a day trip to the beach. If you plan on going to a full on vacation to the beach or a tropical area, then I suggest you check out the ultimate beach packing checklist!
Avoiding COVID-19
I understand, you’ve been cooped up in your home, possibly quarantined, and you simply want to take a mini vacation to the beach with your family or friends. We’re all human, and if you’re anything like me, then you’ll want a different change of scenery once in a while. Included are the following materials you’ll need to prevent Covid.
- Masks → required
- Hand sanitizer
- Ziplock bags → to protect and cover you phone and wallet
- Disinfecting wipes → to clean your things once you get home from the beach
