During this delicate time and the virus spreading, many of us have had to stay home in quarantine by ourselves, with our family, or four legged fur friends. With little to no work or more time given to you throughout the days you might wonder, what should I do?! Here are simple things to do at home that could help keep you distracted when bored or want to try something different.
⫸ Home Workout
If you feel stuck at home or bored, then take this time to make a healthier life choice by working out at home. No weights required unless you already have some (up to you). Look for videos on Youtube from simple stretch workouts to HIIT. You can’t go wrong with any program you choose as long as you’re being active!
⫸ Spring Clean
If you’ve procrastinated a deep cleaning for your room or entire house, then take advantage. Now is the time to clean and see it through. Clears the mind to know everything is less cluttered and organized in your own home. You’ll be surprised and find things you didn’t even remember you had. Or find that old ‘memory box’ from years ago that you can reminisce to now — I know I did.
⫸ Spa Day
Go ahead & treat yourself! You deserve it. Use simple face masks or create your own with ingredients you might have at home. Paint your own nails, or take a long hot steamy bubble bath. It’s very refreshing and soothing. You’ll feel like a light new person afterwards.
⫸ Bake Something Fun
Get creative and bake a new recipe. You’ll feel accomplished after finishing a project as fun as this. Or cook! Whichever you prefer. It’s also great to involve your kids/roommate/whom ever they may be to help you. Oh! and listen to some music while at it. No joke I think i’ve baked about 7 deserts already in a short mount of time. My all time favorite, brownies! Yum!
⫸ TikTok/ Dance To Music
I’m sure i’m not the only one who knows about the app called TikTok. Basically you just create videos of yourself or friends dancing, cooking, just have fun fun. Also, Let loose & dance like nobody is watching. Who’s with me?! You’ll feel empowered, free and It’ll actually be a nice simple cardio workout as well.
⫸ Listen To A Podcast
Or read a book at home. No matter if it’s about romance, comedy, mystery stories. Anything that keeps your mind going. I personally love reading self help books, and listening to educational podcasts. What’s yours??
⫸ Call & Catch Up
Call or Facetime with your family and friends. See what everyone is up to. Especially if you live alone, it’s nice to not feel lonely once in a while. And I’m sure you’ll give each other fun things to do at home too.
⫸ Write In A Journal
This is an easy and simple way to reflect on your days. Journaling is very healthy and you’ll look back on these journal entries some day in the future. Write about absolutely anything you want. I personally like to write versus or lyrics for fun.
⫸ Create DIY Project
Go on Pinterest and find something you’ve been meaning to create. There are many ideas out there for kids, couples, or for yourself. As long as you have the required materials I see no problem with this task.
Please don’t forget to practice safe and self aware procedures. Wash your hands and keep from spreading this virus.
What To Do To Better Your Immune System
I’m no expert but I have received the best advice from my family members whom are nurses or doctors. Some people may disagree with me and that’s okay. I’ll let you know what I’ve been taking to better my immune system.
Please wear your masks! We need to not only make sure we don’t get the virus, but more importantly not spread it. For that to happen we have to take care of ourselves.
Wash your hands, and take Nature’s Way Zinc to better your immune system as a precaution.
