Things to do in Toronto, Ontario
Toronto, Ontario is a popular tourist destination. It is the largest city in Canada and one of the biggest travel destinations in North America. No matter what time of the year you decide to visit Toronto, it has amazing things in store for all of you. It is one of the most vibrant and busiest cities in Canada.
A few of the best things to do in Toronto have been listed during my 3 day stay. Whether you are on vacation, or you call Toronto home, these attractions will help you get the most of your time.

Take a stroll through High Park
Visit Toronto’s largest public park to explore the picturesque gardens, hiking trails, playgrounds and picnic areas. High Park is home to an outdoor pool, an ice rink and a restaurant. My friend and I took a bag and packed snacks, water, and card games to play with while in the park. We met new people as well so that was nice too.

Explore Royal Ontario Museum
From an amazing collection of art and archaeology to natural sciences, Canada’s largest museum houses several different things. Whether you are a fan of Ancient Rome, Japanese culture or more of a Jurassic Park fan, you will surely find something that will hold your interest.
Visit the “Second Coolest Neighborhood in the World”
Named as the second coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue in 2014. Toronto’s eclectic West Queen West neighborhood is home to a vibrant mix of boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and cafe’s. If you want to have an all-in-one Toronto experience, this is the place to visit.
Explore the Stunning Toronto Islands
Take a ferry and escape the city life with a trip to the beautiful Toronto Islands. From riding a bike, having a picnic to just relaxing on the beach whilst soaking in the sun rays, Toronto Islands offer several activities. I personally started one of my morning here and stayed for 3-4 hours so I can explore and do other things during my trip.

Visit the Horseshoe Valley for a superb hiking experience
During the winter time, around 45 minutes from Toronto, Horseshoe Valley is the closest ski resort that offers 28 ski and snowboards runs. This place was my highlight of the trip because I live in sunny Florida. From skiing and snowboarding to other activities such as snowshoeing, snow tubing and skating, Horseshoe Valley offers several snow activities. Additionally, it also has a Spa and several restaurants for an amazing Ski experience.
Shop till you drop in Toronto
Be it clothing, accessories, books or art, Toronto has it all. Toronto is filled with shopping areas such as Bloor-Yorkville, Kensington Market, Leslieville and Queen Street West. Toronto is a treat for the shopaholics.

Eat to your heart’s desire while in Toronto
Shop for delicious food at the Lawrence Market which is the city’s largest market and the best food market voted by National Geographic. From freshly baked goods, fresh produce to prepared meat and seafood, It is a heaven for the foodies. A few other places to check out for an amazing culinary experience are the Culinary Adventure Co. and the Foodies in Foot.
Experience the Sizzling Nightlife of Toronto
For the party people, Toronto does not disappoint! A few of the top bars for dancing the night away are Annex, the Bloorcourt, and Distillery District. What all these bars have in common is an energetic crowd, drinks and amazing soundtracks to dance the night away.
I hope you enjoy Toronto, Ontario as much as I did. I definitely have to go back and stay longer next time to make a more elaborate post. Until then, stay tuned for more recommendations from Canada!
